Message Some people run 50/50 and even a 70/30 mix
Most of the time I run the 30/70 ,, for a couple of reasons
A. the cost starts to become pretty high (gallon of Dentured Alcohol here $16) I can mix 1 gallon of alcohol with 3 gallons of distilled water,, good for about 3 tanks of gas driving moderately. So add $6 cost to each tank of gas you fill up. That makes my cost per tank of gas plus water/alcohol injection is around $46 at todays cost
B. Running higher mixes of alcohol will cause erosion of piping if mixed too strong.. I have stainless steel so not a big deal
3. Running higher mixtures throws your AF off meaning leans out your AF ratio.. Just read up on tuning with E85 and you'll get the ideal. So running high mixtures at WOT without remapping fuel and ignition maps isn't a real good ideal
4. The fuel and ignition maps I run is setup for a 30/70 mixture
5. My car is a DD . I like the extra torque that comes from water/alcohol .. . BTY,, I've been working on the E85 tune and HHO/Brown gas now so the water/alcohol at some point in time will be removed for the other...
